My 16 year old cat has been having violent and frequent seizures for approximately 5 years. She is on Pheno-Barbitol (1 and a half pills a day - .25 grams per pill). She continues to have not so violent, short seizures and loss of bladder control while on this medicine. Her vet has performed various tests which reveal nothing. What could be the cause of seizures in cats?
Your pet needs an MRI to help determine the cause of the seizure. Some possibilities are idiopathic epilepsy, brain tumor, metabolic disease, infectious disease. Vetcare
