We are expats from California now living in the Czech Republic. We have always spayed / neutered our cats as small kittens. Here, they spay females at 9 months and neuter males at 1 year. They say this prevents most urinary tract diseases. Is this true? Is this the best kept secret among vets in the US in order not to have unwanted kittens and puppies? Thank you!
I do not know waht you mean by the best kept secret but if that is the way they do it in Czech that is great. I would love to see the research on the correlation between spaying and uti. vetcare
