My dog was spayed about five days ago. The incision is not draining but it looks as though there is a place where the skin gaps open. Is this dangerous? She also has ear mites and should be retreated in two weeks. What is the treatment? I found my last Frontline did not take care of the ticks or fleas. Duchess weighs 65 lbs. The dosage was for an 88 lb. dog. This is a wonderful site for those of us with pets. Thank you.
I recommend a visit to the vet so the incision can be checked. It should not be open at all. Ear mites can be treated many ways. Examples include tresaderm, ivermectin, mineral oil, etc. Try a prevent-a tic collar along with the frontline. vetcare
