My dog, 12 years old, 38 pounds, and a foundling at 6 months of age looks like a dutch decoy dog. Diagnosed with fluid on the lungs and congestive heart failure. My doc put him on Lasix for ten days. Still had fluid on the lungs. Now is on Digoxin since yesterday.I see that Enalapril is also available. Which might be the better for the dog? I, myself, have been on Enalapril and Dyazide for twenty years and I am still alive. Which, in your opinion is the better alternative? Digoxin or Enalapril? He lost his appetite and his enjoyment on both the Lasix and Digoxin.
Thanks!! Jerry in Kansas
I personly use Enalapril your vet might have his reasons. If your disagree with your vet switch them. Your pets health always comes first.
