uloiicI am aware that you can purchase Heartgard for dogs at petcarerx.com for about half the price. I visited my vet today for a prescription and was told that (1) Heartgard would only back up the product if purchased from a veterinary clinic and (2) PetCareRx may keep the product on the shelf too long and store it in unsuitable room temperatures, thus reducing the effectiveness. This seems ridiculuous to me. Is this true? Please advise... Thank you!
The company will only back it's product if you have a proof of purchase from the vet. The second statement is ridiculous. Basicly, your vet wnats you to only buy from him/her and is trying to scare you. vetcare
