My dog is 12 and is experiencing what appears to be seizures but I am told by my vet that it is CHF. He is taking lasix, lanoxin and enacard daily. He was ok for about 6 mo. now he is experiencing episodes in the middle of the night DAILY of screaming, drunkeness, urinating, and then heavy panting. He then resumes to his normal healthy self. This still appears to be a small seizure of some sort but still my dr. says CHF? How do I know? (No foaming at the mouth, no shaking) Any suggestions on questions?
There is a big difference between chf and a grand mal seizure. A dog will loose consciousness with a grand mal seizure. It sounds like your pet may be becoming senile. This often happens with old age. vetcrae
