Yesterday my black 3 year old mix breed Pomeranian was outside and when I went to pick him up he couldn’t move, he was having a seizure, making heavy breathing noises, and drooling excessively from the mouth. The temperature outside was about 85 degrees and he is used to being outdoors. I took him to the vet, but by the time I got there he was breathing fine and he was alert, so I took him back home and wrapped a cool wet towel around him and gave him a drink of water. He seems back to normal, but I am concerned. My question is; should I take my dog to see a vet still or just return to his normal routine making sure that he has plenty of shade and cold water?
No, I feel you should bring your pet to the vet. Even if your pet checks out normally on physical exam, something may come up on blood tests. good luck, vetcare
