I HAVE A CAT WHO WILL BE ELEVEN YEARS OLD IN AUGUST. SHE HAS ALWAYS GONE FAITHFULLY FOR HER SHOTS.SHE IS STRICTLY INDOOR,NOT AROUND ANY OTHER ANIMALS AT ALL EXCEPT FOR HER BEST FRIEND OUR DOG. SHE WAS SPAYED AT 6 MONTHS OLD. IS IT NECESSARY TO GET HER SHOTS? THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HESITATED ON TAKING HER IN. IS IT REALLY NECESSARY?
Her core vaccines, rabies and FVRCP, probably lasts longer then a year. If she is vaccinated with non-core vaccines such as feline leukemia then it is recommend she gets it every year. You may want to have a titer done on her core vaccines in order to check her immunity. vetcare
