We rescued a wonderful sheltie last month and now it is time for us to give her flea and heartworm prevention. We have an Old English Sheepdog and have given her and her predessors Revolution since it came on the market. We were concerned with how the selamectin, the main ingredient in Revolution, would affect our new little girl. We read that Invermectin is bad for collies and shelties and were concerned that selamectin would also be bad for our new girl in that perhaps selamectin was similar to ivermectin. What do you recommend for heartworm and flea prevention? can we use the Revolution for our Sheltie?Thank you for your help.
The Revolution is safe in collies and collie like breeds ( shelti ) so do not worry, vetcare
