we have a 10 year old male basset hound. two weeks ago we lost a 15 year old dachshound, female. he whins alot, acts out of sort, will not eat like he use to. he does not want to be left alone. he has to be right by my husband's side when he's home. we had four other dogs, he was brought up with, but was not this way with there death. what can we do for him? i hope you can help me. thank you.
He is mourning and this is normal. Give him more treats and generally spoil him more. Try to find a blanket or anything that has the scent of the deceased pet on it and place it near him or on his bed. vetcare
