Hi, my female cat had four kittens by cesearean section on May 10. She had a hysterectomy as well. The kittens were too big for her to deliver and she was past a week overdue. The kittens died throughout that first night. Toffee (the mother cat was so dehydrated from the troubles with her pregnancy and to lose her kittens as well was too much for her. She gave up the will to live. As a last hope, we adopted a 10 day old barn kitten. It worked. We suplemented it's feeding till Toffee's milk came in and now things seem to be okay, except for one thing. The kitten keeps having some kind of seizures. At first, he will just stare into space as if in a daze. Other times, he'll seem to be sleeping but his body shakes and twitches. He even gags on his tongue. I have almost no income and now owe the vet $475.00 for Toffee's surgery, etc. I'm not sure I can afford to take the kitten to the vet. I will try to find a way if absolutely necessary but if I can do anything at home it would be better.
Well, I am worried that this kitten could be a carrier of feline leukemia, feline aids or FIP. I blood test will help determine this. Vetcare
