5 yr old - 90 lb. male boxer has hip displasia - Vet said to not let him jump up on anthing that we should help him up on bed, help him get into the back of truck, etc. Also, he hurt his back left leg a few years ago, took xrays, no broken bones, but he has a knot almost the size of a golf ball on the inside of that leg at the joint. Whenever he over uses it, such as when he plays with our female boxer, he starts limping. I have asked our Vet could it be arthritis, but Vet won't say for sure, just to let him be and it should clear up, but after at least 3 years the knot is still there. Is there something we can give him for both problems that will help him? Thanks!!
Rimadyl or etogesic are very good for arthritis. Vetcare
