I took my cat to the vet. She had tape worms. I was given medication. She was doing well until the tail end of the medication. She had the runs again. I called and was given a set of different medications. These did not work. He told me that she probably had CRF. I really freaked at that. I was told to bring Mokey in to hospitalize her. I took her and asked him to do blood tests and urine tests. Low and behold, she didn't have CRF, has bladder infection and I had to change her diet. However, he kept her on the same medication and added an amoxi triple hydranat drip (2 x daily). My question is about the other medications---what are they for Predazone (1 x daily) and Metrondazone (2 x daily) (maybe misspelled a bit --hard to read his writing on label)?
Prednsione is a steroid and it is an anti-inflammatory and/or immunosuppressant. Met is an antibiotic. it sounds like your vet is treating for inflammatory bowel disese. vetcare
