My cat has been vomiting a small amount twice a day...no hairballs. She has been treated with prednisone shots for colitis and that usually stops it, but the last time it didn't work. She yowls like she has a gut ache. Can I give her peptobismal or an H2 blocker? Thanks. She is 14 years old but eats well and is very healthy otherwise.
Pepto-Bismol is not approved for cats and could be harmful b/c of the adverse effects caused by the salicylate component. H2 antagonists such as tagamet can be used more safely in cats but should be used with caution in cats with impaired hepatic or renal function. vetcare
