I have a 1 year old Jack Russell mix that was a neglect case from the SPCA. I've had him for over 1 year, and he gained only about a pound. He still looks about 3-4 lbs. too thin, and you can really feel his pelvic bones sticking out. (He hasn't lost any weight, though). I have him on Eukanuba maintenance.
He has a fairly healthy history with me- when I first got him the Dr. said his BUN levels were very slightly elevated, but have since gone down (to 29, I think?). He recently had a mild case of pancreatitis, which he has swiftly recovered from. He has never had any diarrhea.
He is a very timid, anxious dog, but very eager to please.
Any suggestions? Is he just supposed to be skinny, or do you think there could be something wrong?
