Our kitty is almost 19, and is losing weight quite rapidly. Our vet has said its old cat syndrome, and there's nothing we can do.It breaks my heart to see her so very skinny. Her hip bones, and spine now stick out. She eats and drinks well, and elimination is OK. She doesn't run around much anymore, but loves to lay in the sunshine. Any ideas on how to help her gain some weight back? In her younger days, she weighed around 8 lbs.,and now is about 5 lbs. Thank you for your time.
You may want to talk to your vet about Winstrol which is an anabolic steroid which can help with weight gain. Good luck, vetcare
