My golden retriever has this tumor on her neck just above her shoulder. I had it checked earlier with a needle biopsy. It was not cancer. However it has grown quite large. No sigh of pain. She is 10 1/2 years old. Also has arthritis in her hips, so was not going to put her through surgery at her age. When last biopsied, the vet said she got only blood, and that was not good. I assume it might be cancer? Any suggestions other than making her comfortable until her condition worsens? Good appitite, likes lots of water, so that I have to monitor it. Also uses pill for incontenance.
Why don't you have the entire tumor removed and biopsied. vetcare
