I have a 3yr old K9 attack trained dog who is wonderful. Friendly, obedient, lovespeople. In attack classes he is very protective and obeys commands extremely well. .Protects his yard, but not the porch where he lays or people coming in thehouse can just walk in. How can I get him to portray some protection in thesetwo situations. Also anyone can walk up to the car and stick their hand in.
what if the person you casted as an intruder eventually has to meet the dog? wont that confuse it?
Thanks for sharing these tips! I think you bring up a good point to ensure that priority is given to obedience training! Many dog owners often neglect this and wonder what went wrong!
I actually run a blog: www.germanshepherdtraininga... which has tons of information on dog training, and anything about German Shepherds! Some of your readers might be interested on the resources and infographics available on my blog!
I would love to learn more about petcarerx and how we can collaborate in the near future!
Cheers,German Shepherd Training Academy
I think this is very important information to know especially if you are planning on becoming a pet owner soon. Not just German shepherds either, it is important all dogs are trained. I know that my dog will protect me when needed and stay calm when needed, I raised him well.
