My dog is on levothyroxine (.5mg) twice a day for a thyroid problem. When excited, he frequently coughs and wheezes through his nose. Occasionally (a few times a week) the wheezing would result in his throwing up. Lately, he has been throwing up much more frequently (at least once a day). He also seems more lethargic. (He is 14 years old.) Is his condition deteriorating? Would some change in his medication be in order? (P.S. He has other medical problems as well - food allergies (routinely eats Iams lamb & rice dogfood), had glaucoma in one eye resulting in blindness in that eye, frequently on antibiotics for scratching himself almost rare in some spots).
I recommend a visit to the vet. i would not change any medication unless your vet tells you to. Your pet may need chest x-rays to find out why he is weezing etc. vetcare
