MY DOG HAS A HEART MURMER. IT HAS GONE FROM A LEVEL 2 TO A LEVEL 4 IN THE PAST 3 YEAR, HE IS NOW 10 YEARS OLD. WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS THAT WILL LET ME KNOW THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT?
Some clinical signs of congestive heart failure are coughing (esp. at night while sleeping), exercise intolerance, weight loss and heavy breathing. I do not recommend waiting until these signs start. I usually recommend an echocardiogram at the time of diagnosis. vetcare
