I have a three year old that is a failed hunting dog. She is literally shell shocked. EVERYTHING is out to get her especially her shadow. We have had her a year and nothing has improved her behavior. She about jumps out of her skin dozens of times daily. We have tried de-sensitixing her, herbal remedies, etc. Is there such a thing as anti-anxiety medications for dogs? The vet has seen her for this but doesn't see the need for prescribing anything. It is quite sad to see her jump across the room when a chair squeeks.
There is anti-anxiety medication available such as amitriptyline but your vet need to prescribe it. good luck, vetcare
