Hello. I have been buying metoclopramide from my vet at a whopping $3 a 10mg tablet for my CRF cat. I wanted to buy it from PetCareRx for 100 10mg tabs for less than $2 in total or $0.02 a pill compared to $3.00 a pill, and although my cat will be on it for the rest of her life my vet told me she can't do that because of the law and it is too much at once. She wants me to keep buying it from her. What can I do? Can she refuse to give me the perscription?
It is illegal for your vet to prevent you from buying medicine from another source. First, you should call the state licensing board and second, you should find another vet. You should be able to buy the medicine your pet needs from any legal pharmacy. Good luck, vetcare
