I have a cat who was mauled by a neighbors dog in May. As a result he is paralyzed from the waist down. He is just a doll...temperament very very good, loving and not depressed. He acts like he always has, except that he cannot control his bladder or bowels, and he is partially paralyzed. He is confind to my kitchen where I can clean up after him all day long. I mop the area with weak bleach water.
I have two questions. Where can I obtain a used wheelchair for him? I think many of his problems with infection will clear up once I can get him up off the ground. Because he drags himself along the floor he rubs himself raw and gets frequent infected wounds, from the dragging...and I suppose he gets feces and urine in the wounds before I can get the floor cleaned sometimes, which causes the infections and absessed areas. What kind of antibiotic can I get to help fight the infections and what can I put on the wounds as a medication?
By the way, we live way out in the country
