My question has to do with the drug my dog is on, Rimadyl. The vet perscribed my 60 lb. dog two 75mg pills a day. He has made great improvements in energy and playfullness. He is a 9 year old lab mix with hip displaysia (not full blown) and fused vertebrae in his back. I was wondering if the dosage of Rimadyl should be lowered to 50mg twice a day because I heard that it is really bad on kidney and liver functions. Thank you for your time. My vet is on vacation for a week and my rimadyl is out so I was wondering what I should do before I purchase more from petcarerx. Thanks.
Rimadyl should be used with caution in dogs with existing liver dysfunction. vetcare
