My dog has allergies and is currently undergoing allergy therapy. She recieves a shot of anti-allergen serum once every 2 weeks for grass allergies. Meanwhile she has developed another yeast infection in the pads of her feet that drives her, and me, crazy. My vet gave me prednisone for her and that helped while she was taking them but the day after the last one she started chewing her feet again. Is there any topic solution I can use on her to get rid of the infection, or should I be asking my vet for a script?
It is not a bad idea to let your vet know what is going on. Your vet may want to try a different method of treatment. Any drug store sells otc topical antifungal meds but I do not know if they will help. vetcare
