Hi. I viewed all of the listings and did not find my question from before so I'm posting again to be on the safe side. I have a Yorkshire Terrier approximately 6 years old. Spayed 4 years ago. No change in shampoos or diet lately. A friend of ours a while back had a dog that would scratch until he had red dry spots that looked like psoriasis (?) and lose his hair. Since that time I have noticed that Pepper seems to be getting the same spots. At first I thought it was just a sore around her neck and doctred it with Bacitracin. Since that time she's scratching more and more frequently and the spots have spread. I don't want her to get as bad as Chopper before I can do something about it if it's the same thing. SHe has never been around Chopper so I am assuming that she contracted the possible virus from my clothing? SHe is an inside dog and doesn't like to play outside either. Nothing unusual about her behavior either. Thank you.
This sould like a staph infection which can be brought on by an allergy. I recommend a visit to the vet before it gets worse. vetcare
