I have an 8 yr old shit-zu mix with an eye problem. One vet told me it was cherry eye and the only way to correct it would be thru surgery. Is he right or is there a less invasive procedure to correct this?
Although it doesn't seem to bother the dog, it is noticeable but cosmetic surgery is out of the question due to cost.
Some dogs respond to antibiotic cream with cortisone. Some dogs do not respond and need surgery. Some dogs have a mild form of cherry eye and live with it. vetcare
