My 8 year old rat terrier has some sort of asthma attack/wheezing usually at least once daily. He acts like he can't breathe and extends his neck out and wheezes really hard. One vet told me it might be a collapsing trachea and gave me some medication for it that made it worse. Anything else it might be? Any advice on what to do?
Your pet may have a collapsing trachea which is easily diagnosed with an x-ray. It can also be an inhalent allery, bronchitis, asthma, COPD, etc... IF the medicine is not working you may consider running some tests on your pet to make a diagnosis. Thanks, vetcare
