I took my kitty to the vet because she seemed sick, she had lost some weight, showed no interest in her food, and her eyes were very gunky. The vet says that her liver enzyme levels are fine, but they found microscopic amounts of blood in her urine and her white blood count is high which is a sign that she has some kind of infection. Now they are asking to run a urine culture test that will cost $75.00. I've already spent $240.00 just to take her to the vet and have her blood and urine checked. I love my kitty very much, but I don't have any extra money for tests she doesn't need. Can I skip this test and just have her put on antibiotics since the vet says that she probably has a urinary tract infection?
I quess you can skip anything you want but it does ot mean that your pet will receive the best possible medication for her problem. vetcare
