My neighbor has a cat that is about a year old and has lived in a cage all of her life. The cage is about 2'W x 3'L x 2'H. They are planning to turn her loose (she has been spayed) in a neighborhood with a lot of children and a few other cats. I tried to pet that cat and make friends (I'm a cat-lover) and it spit and howled and bit me even after 15 minutes of soothing talk and carresses. I am afraid for this cat. Is there anything that can be done to help tame her without harming her any further than she has been harmed by her confinement? Can she be tamed now? They are afraid to attempt to work with her but I thought I might try to if I knew it could be done. Is there any medicinal product even that might help keep her calm until she adjusts to being pet and loved like she should be? Thanks for your time.
Sorry but it will be almost impossible for you to tame a ferrel cat. You can get hurt in the process. Vetcare
