Mittens is about 14 years old, and she has lost her muscle tone especially on her back. She snores very loud and chokes, coughs, gags, and sneezes after she eats or drinks. I took her to the vet to have her checked over. He found nothing serious but did give a Medication that looks to be Oeltaelhol. Sorry I can't read the name on the bottle. This is a yellow pill. I tried it for a while but it is very difficult to administer to a cat that seems to be already gagging and having trouble swallowing.
Is my cat just showing signs of old age? Or am I looking at a serious problem for her? She has a healthy appetite but I have to water down her dry food for her.
Thanks for any help.
I recommend that you go for a second opinion to another vet. This does not sound like typical old age problems. Vetcare
