I have a male 1yr. old. He is fixed, declawed, and has always been an indoor cat. About 3mnths. after getting our female kitten he started pawing on the walls and especially the doors. The kitten is now fixed and dexlawed but the behavoir continues. He also seems to cry. This is odd as he has never been a vocal cat.(the kitten is vocal) Both cats are healthy and active. There is always food and water available. We give them plenty of attention, but the male seems jealous. He is not violent with the kitten. In fact they sleep together and groom one another all the time. His behavoir is quite loud and annoying. Nothing seems to stop him. Any idea why he would start doing this, and how do I stop him? (we tried spraying with water, spraying the area with vinegar, and now sticky tape. he just waits it out or goes to a different area.
Your cat my be trying to get your attention or may be trying to leave his mark (scent) around the house b/c now he has compition. Either way, I am not to sure you can do much about it. Vetcare
