I have a long haired cat and until just recently we had no problems with her mating as she is a very clean cat, but this past winter she has gotten bad mats on her tummy. I try tio brush them out & have tried to cut them but she won't let me use the sissors. She does not like water baths. Is there a medicine I could give her to put her to sleep to cut her hair or what do you suggest I do to get rid of these mats.
Thanks for your help
The best way to remove the matts is with a clipper. I recommend a vet or professional groomer do this for you. vetcare
