My seven year old beagle Maggie has been diagnosed by Purdue Vet school with Schwanella Putrefaciens- a bacterial infection in her nasal cavities. She has been on the antibiotic Tribrissen for the last six weeks and still has ,though much less, a mucous discharge after a series of violent sneezes. I have been relgious about giving her the antibiotics, but within the last week have also been trying a holistic approach with some nutritional supplements purpored to increase digestive flora and boot the immune system and overall health. I am wondering if you might have any other suggestions or knowledge concerning this situation. ??
Thank you for your time and attention.
It sounds llke you are doing everything possible for your pet. I recommend a follow up visit with your vet to determine if the medication is working well enough. Good luck, vetcare
