We have a 4 year Vizsla, Emma, who is very healthy. Currently, we are out of town and on vacation and have run into a problem. On our daily hikes (part of her normal routine even at home) she has started limping after the hike and mainly after resting for an hour or two. She seems to run and play just as normal, it is only aftwards that she limps. She has been on Glucosomine (spelling?) since she was about 1 year. Emma does not take any other medication and is a healthy eater. Can I give her some Baby Ibprofin or other to help with the pain and possible swelling? Naturally, we will slow her walks down until we can get to a vet at home.
The best thing you can do is call your vet back home. Maybe your vet can call in a rx to the local vet where you are vacationing. Good luck, vetcare
