My female cat has a lump on her chest. When we got the cat, we were told she was 2yrs old and spayed. After having her teeth cleaned we found out she was between ages of 6-10 and that she may never have been fixed due to the lump on her chest. Is it true that the lump will never become malignant? If it does not bother the cat & she will let me touch it, should we have it removed? Is there a name for this lump? It almost feels like a mat of fur, under the skin. I am not very satisfied with my vet to try to find answers.
Thanks for your help
