My 12 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback-German Shepard mix has seasonal allergies which cause problems with yeast infections in her ears. I try prophylactic flushing of her ears with vinegar/water 1-2 times a week during the problem seasons. This helps, but doesn't completely prevent occasional major flareups (necessitating a trip to our vet for antibiotics and ointment). I hate seeing Coty suffer from this misery.
Your suggestions would be appreciated!
During allergy season it might not hurt to use antifungal and antibacterial meds in your pets ears as a prophy. Talk to your vet about it. vetcare
