We recently adopted two medium size dogs. One is a male Boxer mix and the other is a female Blue Heeler mix. Both are outside dogs. We bring them into the house when the temperature drops near freezing. I worry about sending them out again in the early a.m. as we leave for work. The garage door has a doggie door so they can get in out of the wind and we keep their beds and food/water in the garage. But, even the garage seems too cold sometimes.
How cold is too cold???
I probably would not keep my dogs outside below 32 degrees f but many people do and do not have a problem with it. You should always provide shelter away from the elements. vetcare
