My esquimo spits has a large blood clog on her left ear. No sign of a wound but it appeasrs to be growing larger. Should I have it punchured or lanced ? What could be causing it? The dog is about 11 years of age. House cared and I notice she is always rubbing her ears. She is also at the age of being blind so we keep and extra watch on her.
It sounds like your pet has an aural hematoma. These are usually treated surgically. Ear infections and/or trauma to the ear are usually the cause. vetcare
