I have a 14 year old neutered English Springer Spaniel. He is currently taking Rimadyl 50 mg. twice daily, and Conquer 1 ml daily for his hip dyplasia. Previously, he took predisone 20 mg twice daily, then once daily, then every other day for either a ruptured or herniated disk in his lower back. Now he walks in circles up to 50 times without stopping usually until he collapes from dizziness. He doesn't appear to be in any pain. He also will get stuck in a corner or go into a closet without the knowledge of how to get out. I was wondering what you think could be going on with him. Please give me any suggestions on how to make his days better. Also, he seems to forget when to go outside to use the bathroom. My Vet thinks that he probably has a form of Alzheimer's Disease. Can you please write me back and give me your input. Thank-you!
Based on your discription it sounds like your pet may have a neurological problem. Exactly what type, I do not know. Have you brought him to the vet recently? If not I recommend that you do so. vetcare
