We recently returned after being gone 5 days. The cat that has adopted us, had a piece of weed in the corner of her eye, the eye was inflammed, runny, and apparently infected - from the debris we are guessing. Being a Sunday, the only thing we could think to do is remove the debris, clean the eye out with a mixture of warm water & hydrogen peroxide. That seemed to help the swelling, the next day I went to the Animal Pharmaceutical store and they gave me an antibotic ontiment. I have been using that for several days, her eye seems to be getting better, she will however, not open it completely and it just doesnt look as the other does. I am sorry to say I do not have much faith in the local Vets, or I would have taken her there days ago. I worry about vision loss. My question is: Should I also be using an eye wash, of some kind, and do you beleive that her eye will recover in a health manner, if I continue as I have. I sure appreciate you time and suggestions..
Your pet should be seen by a vet. I do not recommend taht you continue self treating the cat. You can be making the situation worse. vetcare
