What can we do to stop this once and for all. Now the eldest is having it,we have 6 cats plus the kitties we rescued (they had ringworm)I am concern for 2 cats in particular since they were rescued by us when they were older and would be nearly imposible to treat them if they get it. There is anything beside topical and oral medication we could try to treat them all? And what about the house? (I read that spraying regular household disinfectants, Lysol, do not kill the spores)I would not be able to give them baths or give them medication. What can we do for the rest to prevent the spreading.
You can talk to your vet about anti-fungal shampoos and the use of high does of Program. The only modes of treatment are topical and oral meds. Ringworm is transmitted by fomites so make sure you clean all surfaces that come in contact with the fungus. vetcare
