A feral cat has decided to take up residence at our home. Mainly because I feed him, I felt so sorry for him. He has become quite tame and friendly, he wants to sleep in our mudroom during heavy rains. We also have a 17 year female cat as a pet, who is mostly an indoor cat. They don't seem to mind each other. If he contiues to stick around should I use flea medicine on him in the spring? I dont want a flea infestation. Should I look into getting him fixed? Or is it best not to neuter hime? He is rather pathetic and looks abused. Thanks in advance.
I recommend that you bring him to the vet for a full check-up. Your vet will probably test him for contagious viruses and parasites that that can be transmitted to your other cat. I also recommend flea prevention and neutering. vetcare
