My Lhasa Apso, 23 lbs. has arthritis and is on Metacam (meloxicam). Currently reduced from 10 to 6 mg. Is this the same as Rimadyl? Can he take aspirin or glucosamine with chondroitin instead? if so, what would the doze be?
No, metacam and rimadyl are different anti-inflammatories and should not be given together. Discuss other options with your vet. Gluc. with chon is safe to give with any anti-inflammatory. vetcare
