Dr.about a month ago, I noticed my 2-yr.old cat pulling off his claws. I thought this was weird behavior and didn't worry about it. I've always owned cats and this is the first one who does this. My cat stays inside and rarely likes to go outside. About two weeks ago, I noticed he had trouble walking. He showed difficulty staying up with his hind legs. His hind legs would wobble like someone who has been drinking. Now, he can't even hold up his hind legs at all. He drags himself with his front paws to the food and water. With the exception of this , everything else is normal. The third eyelid is not covering his eyes, he still goes to the bathroom and he is still eating. His footpads from his paws and hind legs seem a bit cold.
I know for a fact that he was not hit by a car. What in the world happened to him?
This sounds serious and I recommend a vet visit asap. I do not want to speculate but it is possible that this is a neurological disease. vetcare
