Our 5 mon. old Boxer has been getting very upset when we leave him in the crate for a few hours. He didn't used to be so bad, but he seems to be getting more upset. We will come home and he will be yelping, and grabbing at the cage. There is excessive amounts of spit all over the sides, top and bottom of the cage. I am afraid that he will hurt himself. He didn't used to get so upset... I don't know why he is so upset now. What can we do?
I recommend that you leave the radio or tv on while you are gone. Make sure your pet gets exercise prior to placing him in the crate. Put toys and treats in the cage. I like the Kong toy b/c you could put a treat inside of it and this will distract him. make sure the cage is big enough so he is confortable. Good luck, vetcare
