I just heard that my Miniature Schnauzer will need the hair inside of its ears plucked a couple times a year to prevent infection. Is that true? It seems like a lot of hair to pluck and sounds very painful. Does it really cause infections if left unplucked?
Who would be the best person to do this, our Vet or a groomer?
Yes, it is true that the hair in the ear can cause infection and the hair in the ear should be plucked. It is a very simple procedure. Either a vet or a groomer can do it. Vetcare
