My dog, Shade, is part German Shepard, Husky, and we think he might have a little Wolf in him.
When I feed him, he takes his bowl of food and carries it into the backyard to eat it back there. That in itself would be fine, but in the process, he dumps most of the food all over the ground, and he won't eat food off the ground.
When I first got him (from the Humane Society) he didn't do this, but he has been doing this for almost a year now.
I don't want to scold him, because then he will think he can't eat out of that daog dish at all, but it is getting costly to keep buying dog food that keep getting dumped on the ground.
When I first got him, I did switch his dog food, as at the Humane Society, they feed all thier animals
Why don't you just feed him in the backyard where he likes to eat it. This way he won't be dragging it back there. Vetcare
