my fox terrier has recently developed a condition with his paws. the front two paws have lost 50% of the nails leaving the quick of the toe exposed. the dog then proceeds to lick the paw raw and bloody. I noticed today the one of the back paws has a nail that has seperated from the quick and has become painful. our vet has put him on oral antibiotic and a antimicrobial shampoo. Any suggestions. This has been going on for a month or more.
A bandage may make it less painful to walk on. vetcare
