Our 8 yr.old male cat recently became predeisposed to blockage of the urethra. Twice he was on medication to dialate the urethra. Both times it helped immediately after 2 doses.Surgery has been suggested. The cat is so skiddish & there is a concern due to the last time he wrench his neck trying to get away when he was admitted. It was actually said they were afraid he was going to have a heart attack due to how scared he is.Is there vitamin or anything we can give him to help this situation? Should he just have the surgery before blockage again? Is there anything that can be done to make it easier on his reaction?
These are important questions you have to talk to your vet about. I usually recommend surgery after the second blockage. Vetcare
